Mini Oriental turkey meatballs

Ingredients

  • 450 g (1 lb.) ground turkey or chicken
  • 1 pouch SUWONG Oriental stir fry mix
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 85 ml (1/3 cup) breadcrumbs
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) chives, chopped
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) vegetable oil
  • 250 ml (1 cup) broccoli florets
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) red peppers, chopped
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) carrots, julienned
  • 2 green onion, chopped
  • 250 ml (1 cup) baby corn
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) fresh ginger, minced

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, 10 ml (2 tsp.) SUWONG Oriental stir fry mix, egg, breadcrumbs and chives. Mix well.
  2. Form small meatballs, using 15 ml (1 tsp.) of turkey mixture at a time.
  3. In a wok or skillet, heat half the oil over high heat and brown meatballs for 2 minutes.
  4. Transfer to a baking sheet and finish cooking in the oven (at 190°C or 375°F) for about 5 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. Heat remaining oil and sautée vegetables, garlic and ginger for 4 minutes. Remove from wok and keep hot.
  6. Prepare the SUWONG Oriental stir fry mix according to package instructions and set aside.
  7. Add to hot skillet with cooked meatballs and vegetables.
  8. Reheat and serve over cooked Yet-Ca-Mein* noodles.

* Yet-Ca-Mein noodles are long (linguine-style) noodles found in the Asian foods section of all grocery stores.
